Want to spend just over two minutes flinching, wincing and/or covering your eyes? If so, today’s Final Destination Bloodlines trailer is just the thing for you.

The latest movie in the franchise sees Death angry again, and as such a certain family is about to die in various violent ways due to a series of random, unfortunate events that Death sets in motion. It also looks like we’ll get the origin story about who thwarted Death in the first place, consequently setting up this whole family to die in various ways.

Here’s the movie’s official logline:

Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.

That one person, today’s trailer explains, is her grandmother, who saw what Death was planning decades ago and saved a lot of people, much to Death’s chagrin.

Final Destination Bloodlines stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, and Brec Bassinger. The film also features the late Tony Todd’s final turn as the series’ iconic William Bludworth. It’s directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, with a screenplay by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor.

Get ready to squirm in your seat when Final Destination Bloodlines premieres in theaters on May 16, 2025.
